Tell Our Airports to Ground Avelo
Avelo Airlines operates out of these airports while running a lucrative ICE deportation contract. By pressuring airports to cut ties with Avelo, we can raise the pressure on Avelo to drop their deportation business.

Ready to take the fight to the terminals? Our Protest Quickstart Guide has everything you need to plan an action at your local airport—tips, signs, chants, and logistics. Show up, make noise, and make it clear: doing business with Avelo means doing business with deportation.
Click on each airport location to get its address and contact information for its airport board or authority.
Your local airport can take action to stop deportation flights and don’t do business with Avelo Airlines — but only if they feel public pressure. Emails and phone calls from community members get logged, shared with decision-makers, and can tip the balance toward action.
To make sure that your message reaches the right people, send it to everyone who can influence the decision. That means: airport authorities and boards of directors; the airport Executive Director or CEO; and city or county elected officials if the airport is publicly owned.
How to find the decision-makers
Go to your airport’s website → look for “About,” “Leadership,” or “Board of Directors.”
If you can’t find direct contact info, call the general airport information number and say: “I’d like to speak with someone in the Airport Director’s office or the Board of Directors about a policy issue.”

Hi, my name is [Name] and I live in [City/Neighborhood].
I’m calling because Avelo Airlines operates at [Airport Name] and is the first commercial airline to contract with ICE to run secret, unmarked deportation flights. Airports should welcome people, not ICE.
I’m urging you to:
Refuse to allow deportation flights from this airport.
End business partnerships with Avelo Airlines.
Can you pass this message to the [Airport Board / Airport Director / Mayor / Council] and let me know where they stand on this issue? Thank you.

Subject: Stop Deportation Flights — Don’t Do Business with Avelo
Dear [Airport Board Chair / Airport Authority Member / Executive Director],
I am a resident of [City] and a regular user of [Airport Name]. I’m deeply concerned that Avelo Airlines — which operates out of this airport — is the first commercial airline to contract with ICE to run secret, unmarked deportation flights. These flights often happen without due process or legal representation for the people being deported.
Airports should welcome people, not ICE. Partnering with Avelo to profit from deportations is both morally wrong and damaging to our community’s reputation.
I urge you to:
Refuse to allow deportation flights from our airport.
End business partnerships with Avelo Airlines.
This is a values issue and a brand issue. Continuing to enable deportation flights will tie our airport to cruelty and erode public trust. I ask you to take immediate action to ensure our airport plays no role in ICE’s deportation machine.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to your response and to seeing [Airport Name] lead with integrity.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Personalize it. If you have a personal connection to the airport (you work there, travel often, live nearby), say so.
Be polite but firm. We’re here to make our demands clear, not to debate ICE policy.
Ask for a response. A request for a reply makes it harder for them to ignore you.
Follow up. If you don’t hear back in a week, send another message or call again.
